One of our favorite autumn traditions is visiting Carrigan Farms that is located in Mooresville, which is by the Lake Norman area. Carrigan Farms is a family-owned farm that specializes in growing quality fruits and vegetables, educational school tours and field trips, weddings, swim parties, and other special events. During October, Carrigan Farms offers pumpkin picking! You can pick the pumpkin you want right off the vine for a traditional, old-fashion experience. Shuttles run daily and even stop at the petting zoo during your visit. Reservations are required for pumpkin picking and can be made online for only $12 per person. To visit Carrigan Farms, you will enter at Carrigan Farms Farm Market that is located at 1261 Oak Ridge Farm Highway, Mooresville, NC 28115. Another fun attraction at Carrigan Farms is the Haunted Trail (not advised for children under 12 years old). On select October nights, the 275-acre farm is transformed into a scary, haunted trail called Scarrigan Farms. Reservations are required and can be booked on their website. Make this an autumn to remember! Carrigan Farms is the perfect place to get your pumpkin fix or get your fright on with a spooky, haunted night.
